Kenneth Reed was pastoring the United Pentecostal Church of Sheridan, Wyoming, and serving as the secretary of the Rocky Mountain District when in October 1988, he and his wife, Shelba, received their appointment as UPCI missionaries to Indonesia.

Sister Reed had served as a junior missionary in Indonesia in the late 1950s with her parents, W. R. and Sallie Pardue. Following their first deputation, the Reeds located in the Philippines and taught in the Bible school until they secured visas for Indonesia. When the Indonesian government refused to renew their visas,

the Reeds transferred to New Zealand. In 1999, the Reeds located in Fiji. Brother Reed served as the general superintendent of the Fijian church and president of the Bible school. In 2008, Brother and Sister Reed retired as missionaries and are now residing in Casper, Wyoming.

On behalf of General Director Bruce Howell and the Foreign Missions Division, Brother and Sister Reed were presented with an award at this year's ministers and wives retreat for 20 years of faithful missionary service.

We honor this fine couple and pray that God will bless them as they continue their service to Him.
